As many of you know, I am on the road with, Common Vision's 7th annual all-volunteer Fruit Tree Tour. For the next 5 weeks we will be traveling through California on the world's largest recycled-veggie oil caravan, with a group of 20 educators! While on tour we will be visiting a school a day, beginning with a green theater performance, and ending with an orchard planting on the campus. After the performance we spread out on the campus and work with the kids to plant an orchard on the school yard. By the end of the tour we will plant 1,000 fruit trees.
Common Vision is an incredible non-profit organization and being on tour has been an inspiring learning experience for me. The crew I am with is an amazing group of educators, organizers, farmers, permaculturalists, musicians, actors, veggie mechanics, videographers, photographers, artists, all putting their energy towards a common vision for the future.
